Hey! Last night Chase Utley, who's been relatively cool at the bats for the Phillies since returning in May, hit an inside-the-park home run against Giants pitcher Barry Zito. Headfirst dive a the plate and everything after blasting it deep into left-center. The crowd at Citizen's Bank Park went wild, the broadcast booth went wild, and Utley looks rather pleased with himself while rounding third for home. After the Phillies 7-2 win against the defending World Champions, he told Philadelphia Sports Daily's Steve Bucci, “I tried to turn it into an extra gear. I don’t think I had an extra gear, but I tried." That's the second inside-the-park homerun this year for the Fightins (Victoria hit one back in April).
