Charlie Villanueva Goes Wild After Coming to Blows With Ryan Hollins

The middle of April is a strange time of year: Taxes are due, the weather still has some bizarre tendencies, and, although the contenders in the NBA and NHL Playoffs have been decided, clubs are still playing games. Post-season hopes for both the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers were extinguished months ago, but the two teams still brought it when they played last night. With 5:45 left in the fourth quarter, Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva got tangled up with Cleveland's Ryan Hollins. When Villanueva went to set a screen, Hollins clearly threw an elbow into his chest. They came to blows and both got ejected. However, things got weird when Villanueva headed back to the locker room. Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey and the team's director of security had to hold him back after he flipped out, chraging at Hollins and the Cavs' bench. In the heat of the moment, Villanueva allegedly screamed "I will kill that dude... I don’t give a (expletive)" and invited him to "brawl in [the Palace of Auburn Hills'] loading dock," reports the Detroit News. Probably not the best choice of words for an NBA "Bully Buster" to use during conflict resolution, no? And considering the fighting history of the Palace, probably not the best venue for this incident to go down at. The league will review the altercation and probably take action. Watch the scuffle below.
