Is somebody cuttings onions in here? Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons shaved his head before yesterday’s Christmas game. Here’s the heartwarming story behind it.

Parsons met 10-year-old Patrick Hobbs-DeClaire during a hospital visit last week. Patrick has stage 4 neuroblastoma, a particularly nasty form of cancer that attacks the nervous system.

“His dad was telling me how he isn’t even scared of death,” Parsons said. “He is more worried about not looking like his twin brother anymore, so me being his favorite player, I decided to shave my head to look more like him and hopefully give him some support and encouragement from me.”

Parsons did not tell the family he was going to shave his head, just told them to tune in for the Christmas game.

Parsons had a monster game in Houston’s 111-98 victory over the Spurs, finishing with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Patrcik Hobbs-DeClaire was certainly a driving force for that performance.
