The fan Bubba Watson felt the need to chide after giving himself a chance for birdie on the No. 2 hole at the Travelers Championship had apparently advised Watson to hit a 4-iron punch out of the rough where his errant tee shot fell.
Leave it to Bubba to get the last word/laugh/birdie/tour win/whatever, though. When you’re playing like he has this weekend, and have two green jackets hanging in a cedar closet at Augusta National, you’re allowed to talk as much shit as you want.
At the time of writing, Watson sits atop the leaderboard at the TPC River Highlands.
