Brock Lesnar Appeared On Sportscenter And Said Something That’s A No-No In The Wrestling Business

Brock Lesnar appeared on Sportscenter this morning to talk about this small little independent show happening in New York this weekend called Summerslam.

The conversation turned to Dana White’s comments that “rasslin is fake” and Brock spit some truth about the business, UFC and his former boss Dana.

“Well of course, Dana, it’s fake and everybody knows that but you’re promoting the same thing we’re promoting — Dana White is promoting fights, we’re promoting fights. It just so happens that we get a little more longevity out of our fights and out of our fighters because of the circumstances. It is a staged arena, everybody knows that, and if you can’t turn WWE on on a Monday night and get something out of show and be entertained then there’s something wrong with you. Dana, in his defense, is promoting fighting but it’s the same thing. He’s trying to sell pay-per-views, he’s trying to sell fights. It’s the same racquet. The business model is the same. Vince McMahon is better at it and that might rub Dana the wrong way.”

Burn city, bitch! But I’m kind of shocked Brock came out with the “yeah it’s fake” rebuttal. That’s usually a no-no in wrestling, admitting it with the “f word.” Wrestler usually dance around it with “predetermined” and other adjectives. Brock flat out said “yeah, it’s fake, so?”

Brock then talked Summerslam and his rematch with Undertaker and explained why he was the only person who could have handled breaking Taker’s undefeated streak. Basically, he could handle the boos.

The man can hold a ton of negative backlash on those shoulders.
