BRO MOVE: Hall Of Fame Bro, Arnold Palmer, Sent A Letter To Golf Announcer Battling Cancer As Support

Once a bro, always a bro.

That’s the best way to describe legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, who has had his fair share of moments to remind us dudes what it truly means to be a man’s man.

While Arnie has been seen yucking it up with supermodels like Kate Upton in the past and still swinging his clubs at various tournaments at age 86, it’s what he did for golf commentator Mark Rolfing that stands out as one of his coolest moments.

Rolfing, who recently announced that he’s battling a rare form of salivary gland cancer and would start treatment immediately, told Ed Sherman that he’s trying to stay as positive as he could, with the outpouring of support helping him keep his head high.

And it was a letter from Palmer that has been as uplifting as anything else Rolfing has heard or read, telling Sherman:

“I got a letter from Arnold Palmer the other day. I opened it and there were tears streaming down my face. It made me realize how lucky I am and what the game has done for me. A letter from Arnold Palmer in regular mail. It was typical Arnold. I’ve had a lot of support, but that one stands out.”

Receiving words of encouragement from one of the greatest golfers to ever tee it up would be a good way to stay on cloud nine, so here’s to Palmer’s words keeping Rolfing’s spirits high and the commentator returning to his job soon.
