Brittney Griner And Fiance Glory Johnson Arrested For Assaulting Each Other

WNBA superstar Brittney Griner and her fiance Glory Johnson were each arrested after a fight yesterday in Phoenix. Griner and Johnson, who also plays in the NBA were taken in on assault and disorderly conduct charges.

TMZ, as always, has the intimate details.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Brittney told cops the two had been fighting for days and were having serious “relationship issues.”

As for the specific incident, cops say there were several people at the home when Brit and Glory began to argue — and the fight turned physical.

Cops say Brittney admitted to throwing a dog bowl at the wall — and then the two began fighting.

Glory’s sister eventually called police because people “couldn’t get them pulled apart” and she didn’t want anyone to get hurt.

When cops arrived, officers say Brittney had several cuts — and a bite wound. Glory was bleeding from the lip.

Whoa. Throwing a dog bowl? That’s flat-out dangerous, especially if it’s one of those expensive ceramic jobs.

Each player reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Considering the intense scrutiny Roger Goodell and the NFL have been under due to its handling of domestic abuse scandals, it will be interesting to see how the WNBA handles the situation. Currently, they say they are investigating the matter.

It’s been a rough year for Griner, if you consider having a madman hop aboard a bus in China to stab you a bad year. I certainly do.
