In just his ninth tweet ever, the embattled former slugger claimed he’d been cleared to participate in rehab games. When general manager Brian Cashman found out, he was less than pleased.
“You know what, when the Yankees want to announce something, [we will],” Cashman told ESPN New York. “Alex should just shut the f— up. That's it. I'm going to call Alex now.”

This latest development comes after Cashman spent Monday shooting down a report A-Rod had been given the go-ahead to start rehabbing.
There was already doubt as to Rodriguez’s future with the team. Things just got murkier – and more fun for the casual observer.
