During last week's stupefyingly boring national championship game, ESPN's cameras trained for Katherine Webb for a surprisingly long period of time. Every person watching the game thought the same thing: "Wow, she's very pretty." Play-by-play announcer Brent Musburger said out loud what everyone was thinking, because A. The game was long over, and he and ESPN were throwing everything they had to make sure that viewers stayed on the channel; B. Webb's looks were the main reason ESPN's camera stayed on her anyway; and C. Musburger is 73-years-old and doesn't give a shit.

Despite the fact that Musburger may have helped launch her modeling career (as he did Jenn Sterger)—and despite the fact that Webb said she was flattered by the attention—some feminists, accompanied as always by the desparate guys who just are looking for a way to bang them, spent the last week wringing their hands over Musburger objectiving a known model. It was insanity.

So on last night's signoff, Musburger poked fun at the situation, calling Holly Rowe (who we can only assume was in on the joke) "really smokin'." Good for him.
