Breaking down the worst lateral in the history of organized football

The Falcons still had a chance, albeit slim, to beat the Saints last night. With 5 seconds left, they snapped the ball at the 38-yard line. Matt Ryan threw a short pass to Harry Douglas, who ran around in circles and threw perhaps the worst lateral in the history of organized football.

Seriously, the lateral started at his own 49.5 yard line and ended at the Saints 46—four and a half yards forward. That’s just…amazing.
