Brandon Phillips Rewards Loudmouth Drunk With a Signed Baseball, Provides Important Lesson About Benefits of Being a Loud Drunk

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips is known for his fun-loving attitude, so it’s no surprise he took the lemons of an obnoxious drunk fan and made delicious lemonade.

The brother of the drunk posted the following story to Reddit describing how the All-Star made a few Pittsburgh Pirates fans very happy.

My brother attended the Pirates/Reds game tonight (that’s him on the left) and decided to get drunk and do some heckling. He started on Joey Votto earlier in the game, yelling things like “Votto has feminine hips!” and “Looks like Votto could easily birth twins!”. He said the crowd around him were chuckling the entire time.

Rain delay in the 7th inning, but afterwards, he got started on Brandon Phillips. Yelling “Hey everybody, look how slow Phillips is!”. My brother said the stadium was almost empty at this point, so his heckles rang loud and clear. According to him, Phillips even looked over and chuckled at one point.

Anyways, after the game, Brandon Phillips runs over and hands my brother this ball.

The handwritten inscription sarcastically thanks the verbose fan for his catcalls before asking him to kindly shut the hell up.

Let that to be a lesson to you, Bros. The squeaky, inebriated wheel gets the oil. Be loud, be proud, and be slurred.
