Manchester City appear to have won the battle to sign Brahim Abdelkader Diaz, according to reports.
This weekend, Mirror Sport confirmed the 14-year-old was flying to England this week to put pen-to-paper with the Etihad club.
And now City have paid close to £300,000 up front for the Malaga wonderkid, recognised as the 'new Messi' – with the final deal worth £2.4m.
This is a pretty significant futures bet, but if this kid turns out to be even a shell of Messi, it will be money well-spent.
Here’s the kid’s sizzle reel for you to make snap judgments.
For context, I spent most of my 15th year on this planet holed up in my room with a Willa Ford CD liner and some Lubriderm. Diaz’s future is much brighter than my past.
