5 Reasons Every Bro Should Be Watching BKB

When was the last time you thought about boxing? Besides the next big match that took forever to get done (way to deliver ten years too late fellas) you probably haven’t thought about the sport of boxing in years.

That’s because regular boxing is boring as hell. It’s your daddy and granddaddy’s boxing — the rounds are slow, the action is occasional and heaven forbid the match goes the typical 12 rounds. It’s for all these reasons that BKB is changing the face of boxing.

BKB is a new, intense, and hard-hitting sport that revives the knockout in boxing. The rules and matches are much different and the action is way more insane than the typical 12-round affair. The next BKB card will be live from Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas on Saturday April 4th at 10PM EST. It’s also available nationwide on every major PPV provider.

In preparation for the next BKB card, here are five reasons every bro should check out BKB immediately.

The Pit

The fights take place in “The Pit.” The Pit is a circular altar of action, only 17 feet in diameter, that encourages big hits, huge knockouts and doesn’t really give fighters much room to run — or hide.

Unlike the traditional boxing ring, The Pit forces a fighter to take to the offensive. It also offers no relief from an opponent’s brutal onslaught.

Shorter Rounds Mean More Action

The typical boxing round is three minutes long. While that doesn’t seem like forever in the grand scheme of time, it’s a long enough time for a fighter to duck, move and run away from an opponent. In BKB, the rounds are shorter, and there’s less time to hide and a more incentive to hit or be hit. There’s also only up to seven rounds in a BKB fight so the tempo is far more upbeat with less time to wear an opponent out with cat and mouse games.

Real Time Stats (Really)

For the stat geeks, who also love to watch two grown men beat the snot out of one another, BKB offers fight telemetry for the first time in a live boxing event. The April 4th card will be first to use sensors in each fighter’s gloves to measure the speed and force of every single punch. It’s not only fun to watch a face get smashed in but it’s always kind of sick to know how hard a fighter is getting hit with every jab and hook.

The Knockouts

There are ring girls and then there are BKB Ring Girls. You’ve never seen ring girls like the BKB Ring Girls.

Brings Back The OTHER Knockout

How many times have you invested time, and money, into a prize fight only to witness zero big hits and not even a chance at a KO victory? Plus, with short rounds there’s no time for hugging or dancing. This unique format was designed to deliver maximum action, total aggressions and, of course, big knockouts.

The next BKB event will take place LIVE from Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas on Saturday April 4th at 10PM EST. Check your PPV provider for more details or visit BKB.tv to learn more.
