The Baltimore Ravens beat the New England Patriots, 31-30, last night on a field goal by Justin Tucker as time expired. They did not win without a healthy amount of controversy.
Tucker pushed his 27-yard attempt toward the right upright and it’s extremely hard to discern if it was good or not. The replacement refs – God love ‘em – ruled that it was and the Charm City got its celebration on.
Noted curmudgeon and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was extremely displeased with the zebras afterward. He raced toward line judge Ali Shetula and attempted to grab him, but the fill-in was able to escape.
This will cost the hoodie-wearing enthusiast big bucks. And probably make him even more cranky. Look out, world.
