German and Manchester United soccer star Bastian Schweinsteiger is pissed as all hell about a Chinese toy company who he claims stole his identity to make a Nazi action figure—and the company’s defense is fucking insanely dumb.
One of the best midfielders in the world, Schweinsteiger is a pretty big fucking deal, also playing for esteemed EPL club team Manchester United, too. Still, the Chinese toy company DiD insisted that even though the soldier looks EXACTLY like Schweinsteiger and even has the SAME FUCKING NAME, Bastian, that it’s nothing but pure dumb luck, with a company rep saying this, per TMZ Sports:
“We think that all Germans look like that. Bastian is also a very common name in Germany. It is a complete coincidence that the figure ‘Bastian’ looks like Schweinsteiger.”
As you might imagine, there aren’t too many people, especially German people, who want to be likened to a Nazi, so the real Bastian is planning on suing the shit out of DiD.
Somewhere, someone at the toy company is reacting like this over this fiasco.
