Markus Stöckl, the 36-year-old owner of the MS Evil Racing Team, recently set speed record on a a serial production mountain bike. He raced down a 550-metre-long track on the gravel side of a volcano in Nicaragua, hitting a top speed of 164.95 kph. Red Bull, one of his sponsors, captured the moment. Let's watch.
This isn't Stöckl's first speed record. In 2007, he reached speeds of 210.4 kmh on a conventional bike by mountainbiking down the ski slope of La Parva, Chile.
