Adrian Peterson Led the Vikings Into the Playoffs With This Incredibly Clutch Run

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson needed 208 yards yesterday to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record. It was a tall order.

But Peterson has done nothing but attain the seemingly impossible since destroying his ACL last Christmas. He was back on the field way faster than anyone could predicted, and HOLY SHIT did he hit the ground running.

Peterson fell just 9 yards shy of the mark, but he probably won’t be too disappointed. His huge game – and this run in particular – allowed the Vikings to beat the Packers 37-34 and clinch the final NFC playoff spot.

Considering all that Peterson overcame, and the one-dimensionality of the Minnesota offense, it might be the single most-impressive season in NFL history.

And it was a hell of a lot of fun to watch.
