Aaron Rodgers Was Trolling Russell Wilson After Green Bay’s Win: ‘I Think God Was A Packers Fan Tonight’

After the Green Bay Packers wrapped up last night’s 27-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks Aaron Rodgers saw his opportunity to twist the knife and he took it. When Rodgers took the stage for his post game conference he proceeded to troll the shit out of Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks by mimicking Wilson’s comments about divine intervention in the game of football. If you’re not convinced Rodgers is trolling and this wasn’t a direct shot at Russell Wilson I want you to watch this video a handful of times and focus in on that shit-eating grin that just keeps on getting bigger and bigger as he’s trolling:

Aaron Rodgers: “I think God was a Packers fan tonight, so he was taking care of us.”

As Kyle Koster of The Big Lead notes this is the 3rd part in an ongoing debate between Rodgers and Wilson about whether or not He Who Is I Am, aka God, cares about who wins football games. Last year Russell Wilson said there was divine intervention, and that God led the Seahawks past the Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Rodgers then fired back the infamous line of ‘I don’t think God cares about the outcome of football games’.

To me this seems a little early in the season to start bringing that stuff up again. This seems like one of those quotes that might come back to haunt Rodgers during the playoffs, but that just makes for a great story down the line I guess.
