49ers Fans’ Drunken Rage Might Prevent Them From Buying Beer After Halftime. Good Job, Guys

Move over, Raiders fans, it looks like your cross-Bay rivals have overtaken you as the worst fans in all of the NFL.

After a couple weeks making the news for their, apparent, drunken rage by engaging in some serious brawls with opposing fans, San Francisco 49ers fans are now scarier than those who all The Black Hole home each weekend.

For that reason, Santa Clara City Council members are actually thinking about banning all alcohol from being sold within the Niners’ home stadium, Levi’s Stadium, following halftime, hoping to decrease the incidents.

In the report by the San Francisco Chronicle, one councilwoman said this:

“We really need to send a message that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. I know they make a lot of money off of alcohol sales, but if people have an hour and a half (without alcohol) maybe they will cool down a bit. With the Super Bowl coming up, we have to think of the image of Santa Clara as well as of the stadium. We don’t want a Bryan Stow incident here.”

Damn, way to go, Niners fans, you’ve really just made Levi’s Stadium appear to be the most dangerous place in football with your fisticuffs and brawls.

Who knows if this will end up getting passed, but, if fans can sober up for a couple hours before the end of the game, maybe the fighting will calm down.
