One of my favorite parts of the lead-up to any major is seeing what all the players will be wearing throughout the week. That’s probably because being able to dress like a pro golfer is one of the only things I have in common with a pro golfer.
No one does majors scripting better than Nike. While last year was the year of that god awful “volt” yellow color, Nike’s scripting for the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay looks slightly more classic. This year, all Nike-sponsored athletes will be wearing Nike’s new stretch woven fabrics which are “designed to keep them cool and dry while playing at the edge of the Pacific Ocean” and, with the exception of Tiger Woods, they will all be wearing a lot of blue and green. Tiger’s scripting (which is below), consists of a lot of gray, black and red. Yeah…he’s taking some real earth-shattering fashion risks this year.
Who will be the best dressed from the Nike bunch? In my very biased opinion, I think the winner is Tommy Motherfucking Fleetwood. Save for the all-white pants, I think Fleetwood has the best overall 2015 U.S. Open scripting for Nike.
Tommy Fleetwood
Francesco Molinari
Russell Henley
Charl Schwartzel
Rory McIlroy
And finally… Tiger Woods
