Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott will be paired together during the first two rounds at next week's 2013 U.S. Open at Merion. Goddamn, the only way this pairing could get any better is if it became a foursome and Sergio Garcia joined. Even without him, I'm of the opinion that this bodes well for Tiger; he never wants to play second fiddle to McIlroy, and Adam Scott recently won the Masters with Woods' ex-caddie Steve Williams on the bag. If he needed motivation, this should do it.
Woods hasn't taken to Twitter yet to give his opinion on the grouping, and it is unlikely that he ever will, but Rory seems sufficiently excited.
Decent group for the first 2 rounds at Merion I see....— Rory Mcilroy (@McIlroyRory) June 7, 2013

And since I've got you here, I'd like to mention that similar to what we did for the Masters we are giving away a ton of great golf stuff (clubs, rangefinders, bags...the works, really) next week in honor of the U.S. Open. Only difference is we're giving away more this time. So be on the look out for that come Monday morning.
