Dave Grohl Responds To Fans In Italian, Continues To Prove He’s the Raddest Musician

Another day, another instance of Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl proving that he’s the coolest fucking musician on the planet.

After a video came out last week of 1,000 musicians in Cesena, Italy performing his song “Learn to Fly” with the hope that it would be enough to convince Grohl and his band to play a concert in the town, the singer responded in the best way possible.

Recording a video of his own, Grohl posted on the band’s Facebook page his reply to the fans’ plea—while speaking fucking Italian—which, of course, he can do to.

For translation, here’s what the singer said:

“Hi, Cesena! I am David, hello. I’m sorry, I don’t speak Italian. Only a little, a little. That video – but how beautiful! Very beautiful. Thank you very much [literally: a thousand thanks]. We are arriving [coming], I promise. We’ll see each other soon. Thank you very much. I love you. Bye.”

I mean, could Dave Grohl be anymore of a OG? Not only is he one of the most legendary rockers of the past 25 years, playing in bands like Nirvana and Foo Figthers, but he does something like this to show that he’s a real bro—while giving the fans what they want with the promise of playing a show in Cesena.

Let’s not forget that this is the same guy who played a concert with a broken leg while sitting on a damn throne, unable to move around and just shredding his guitar in the customized seat.

It might be Monday and I’m still a little low functioning from the weekend, but this calls for a beer and some Foo Fighters as a tribute to Grohl’s move.
