Jay-Z turns 43 today. Happy Birthday, Hova! To celebrate, his website, Life+Times, dropped a 24-minute mini-documentary about his historic 8-night concert christening of Brooklyn's Barclay's Center in October. The 25-minute behind the scenes documentary, titled "Where I'm From," captures a few intimate moments from Jay-Z's journey back to Brooklyn, including his much-discussed ride on the N Train to Atlanic Avenue. Just try not to smile when the sweet old lady on the Brooklyn-bound subway says, "Oh, you're Jay-Z? I know Jay-Z." It's a beautiful New York moment.

The concert footage itself, starting about 15 minutes in, is especially dope. I have to admit I started to get choked up when he held up a Brooklyn Dodger's Jackie Robinson jersey given to him by a fan. Civic pride, baby.
