Grantland's Rembert Browne wrote one of his vintage novellas on this matter, somehow ascribing very important meaning to what would otherwise be dismissed as that which deserves to be sneered at, with you not bothering to see if it the corresponding filth actually landed in the street-side garbage bin. Here's a short excerpt:
On paper, this is strange, because he has long prided himself on being pretty much the "realest" man that has ever walked this earth, never concerning himself with "publicity" or "selling out" or "making money." Doing a remix to the most popular/worst song of the year seems like the opposite of that lifestyle — that is, until he takes it in the most unconventional direction possible.
Back in 2007, we learned something new every day. In 2012, every day gives us another opportunity to type the words, "MIND. BLOWN."
