Listen to the First Wu-Tang Clan Song in Seven Years, ‘Keep Watch’

Back in November, RZA said the Wu-Tang Clan’s next album was just a few months from release, with Raekwon the only member to not yet record his lines. This, it turns out, was a little premature, and A Better Tomorrow will not be released tomorrow, or any time soon for that matter, as it still has no release date (goddammit).

But late last night the Clan emerged from the slums of Shaolin to unexpectedly drop the jam “Keep Watch.” They coupled that with a lengthy series of interviews on Grantland, and it’s not an exaggeration to say this is the biggest day for the group in more than a half-decade. “Keep Watch” is classic Wu, beginning with Method Man’s gruff bars, ending with mysterious lyrics from the GZA, and boasting production that’d be right in place in the 36 Chambers.
