In my nearly decade-long career of going to Phish concerts, I've had quite a few "transcendental" (air quotes) moments during their semi-regular cover of the Talking Heads' "Cross-eyed and Painless." And, believe it or not, I remember most of them. Pittsburgh's Post-Gazette Pavilion, July 29, 2003?: A mind-fu*k and a half. Red Rock 2009?: Face-melted. Madison Square Garden 01-01-2011: Perfect Set Two opener. You get my point. I'm not the one to call this tripping festival goer, pictured above, for having a good time and getting his mind rocked by a great jam at Phish's Super Ball IX this past weekend (unfortunately, I couldn't make it; Otherwise, I'd gleefully tear our young intern's little "critique" a new one). He's being safe, non-menancing, seems to be having a good ole' time, and is probably seeing things you and I wouldn't never comprehend, even if we were halfway through a bakers dozen of goo balls. A model LSD/Mushroom/Molly user, if you will. But -- hey! -- it's funny to watch, so let's do just that.
Update: Someone flagged the video. What a tool. We'll BBL with another one when we find it.
