Oh, this is rich. As someone who's made his thoughts on Taylor Swift pretty clear on this fine website, this makes me happier than finding out Swift has turned into a real-life Overly Attached Girlfriend who buys houses next to guys she's dated for, oh, a month.
The glorious news: 4chan and Reddit users have rigged a Chegg and Papa John's-sponsored contest that sends Taylor Swift to perform at whichever school gets the most online votes, and the leader right now is none other than Allston, Massachusetts' Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Yes, in a move that makes the decision to send Pitbull to Kodiak, Alaska seem like mere child's play, our nation's finest Internet trolls have deemed the deaf children of Horace Mann most worthy of hearing great works of songcraft like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and lyrics like "She wears high heels/I wear sneakers/She's cheer captain/And I'm on the bleachers" live, in person. The Horace Mann kids also would get a $10,000 grant for their music department if they win, which I kind of feel bad about laughing at.
Swift does have the option of opting out of performing at Horace Mann, but what kind of person would turn down meeting poor deaf kids?
