I've written way too many words about this album already, so it might be best to shut up and let Danny Brown do the (high-pitched) talking. Old is Danny's follow-up to 2011's XXX, and it retains all the spirited vulgarity and unique soundscapes of its predecessor, plus, rhymes that deliver equal parts hilarity and pathos.
Sonically, Old is split into two fairly distinct halves—Side A, a mellow 10 tracks that make ample use of soul samples and a slowed-down Danny, and Side B, which is fucking insane. We've already heard much of Side B ("Dip," "Dope Song," "Handstand," and "Kush Coma"), but you should listen in full: at the very least, it's unlike anything else on the radio.
