Marc Goone - Dear Mom (Prod. by Judge)
Bro dads get a lot of press, but it's time to take a beat and appreciate mothers of Bros everywhere, and all that they've done for us. The bond between a Bro and his mom is a beautiful thing, and this is a track that every Bro should be able to appreciate. Be sure to head over to iTunes to download this single too, as all (read: 100%) proceeds go to Friends of Kids With Cancer.
Smallpools came to play. That's the take away from their first EP, a self-titled grouping of four tracks that individually merit serious radio play, and together a Grammy for best new pop artist.
Aylen - Rapid Fire EP
Aylen makes the jams. I know this, you know this, your neighbors probably know this too by now. So let's cut the bullshit and rage to some original tracks by the dude.
Felly - Ridin' Round
Felly reminds me that rap and hip hop don't necessarily always have to be about the struggle or the come up. Sometimes it's just about the middle, just chilling. This dude's been producing beats for years, and recently he's taken to rapping over his own creations. The product is a fluid, silky flow that reminds me of any old school Mac Miller, and that's a damn good thing.
Luke & Skywalker X Louis The Child - Dimensions
The melody here... Oooooweeeee. And coupled with the fact that this is the only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we can expect from Luke & Skywalker and Louis the Child, I'd say this track alone qualifies today as a good day.
