Kendrick Lamar gave a new meaning to the phrase "shots-heard-round-the-world" with a nasty, nasty verse on Big Sean's "Control (HOF)" that took aim at everyone and anyone. One of the targets in his sights was 11-time NBA championship coach Phil Jackson. Lamar rapped, “If Phil Jackson came back, still no coachin’ me / I’m uncoachable, I’m unsociable.” Today Phil Jackson, in all his zen wisdom, had a few words for the young rapper on Twitter. His response is perfect, if not poetic:
@kendricklamar it’s okay to be cocky and sure, but we all need somebody to lean on. Let’s just call it mentoring.— Phil Jackson (@PhilJackson11) August 13, 2013
What a Bro.
