Mac Miller Shows His Versatility with Unique Cover Choice, New Collab

New stuff from Mac Miller, though definitely a bit of a departure from what we're used to out of the Pittsburgh homeboy.  Larry Dollaz (Mac's production name) has finally jumped on the SoundCloud train, and has dropped some vibes that simply scream--or rather, croon--essence of chill.

First we have Mac covering Bright Eyes' "First Day of My Life," something that initially seems surprising only to then make a lot of sense. It's different, it's catchy, and despite being a cover, certainly highlights his "Of the Soul"-esque spirit of unexpectedly deep contemplation. On the other side of the spectrum, his "PlaneCarBoat" collab with Schoolboy Q has a more visceral/aggressive feel, which for whatever reason reminds me of something that would sneakily dominate a killing scene in a Tarantino movie. Take a listen to both, then brag to your friends that you're down with the latest underground sh*t on SoundCloud.
