Kanye West Wanted James Franco and Seth Rogan to Perform ‘Bound 3’ At His Wedding

James Franco guest-starred on The View today and revealed that his utterly amazing “Bound 2” parody—reenacted with a shirtless Seth Rogan playing the role of the “human” “Kim Kardashian”—could have been performed at the West-Kardashian wedding.

This was surprising. As soon as the video dropped last year, Kim tweeted her support—but Kanye stayed silent. Conspicuously silent. It was presumed at the time that he was using his silence to think of ways to murder Franco and Rogan, who had spoofed his genius.

That wasn’t the case. Kanye actually would later call Franco and Rogan to ask if they’d reenact the video at his wedding in France later this year.

“Kim loved the video, and we didn’t hear back from Kanye, so we kind of felt like ‘he’s not bashing us, but he probably hates it but he’s not going to say anything.’ But then two weeks ago, we got a call from Kanye. Seth and I were on the phone. We thought he was just going to let us have it. But he loved it! And I’m pretty sure I can say it now because I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen: he wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles.”

Franco then explained why it probably wouldn’t have been a great idea. “It would have been awesome for about 20 seconds, but then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front all the Kardashians.”

Valid.
