Drake Drops a ‘Draft Day’ Freestyle About Johnny Manziel And It’s Fire

It’s okay to be jealous of the Drake and Johnny Manziel bromance. One is a world-famous rapper, the other is a soon-to-be first round draft pick, who has his friend, the rapper, write fucking freestyles about him.

“Draft Day” dropped late last night—much to my chagrin after seeing this tweet, it wasn’t about Kevin Costner—and it’s an ode to OVO member Manziel and Kansas’ Andrew Wiggins, both of whom are entering their respective leagues in just a few months. The song is also of course about Drake, who, over a Lauryn Hill sample, continues this recent trend of side-dissing Jay Z (“Yeah, suits and ties yelling out “pay the guys”) and even manages to toss in the rap game’s best shoutout yet to Jennifer Lawrence.

On some Hunger Games shit I would die for my districtAnnotate
Jennifer Lawrence you can really get it
I mean forreal, girl you know I had to do it for yah

If there was ever a potential relationship that’d break the Internet…

Anyway, listen to it below. And don’t forget: Singin’ Drake can go hard when he feels like it.
