Hoodie Allen Releases the Long-Awaited ‘Crew Cuts’ Mixtape

The Hoodie train has been rollin' around here, all in anticipation for this. Here we've got the long-awaited "Crew Cuts," definitely his most diverse and ambitious effort yet. We've seen the likes of "Fame Is for Assholes" and "Cake Boy" already, and the rest (described "dope as fuck") features a nice array of sounds, styles, and guest spots--the most notable of which is avid Corona and Lime fan Shwayze, featured on the second to last track, "Wave Goodbye."

Hoodie dropped BroBible an e-mail this morning calling it his best project ever:

"With 'Crew Cuts', I had two big goals in mind—1. I wanted to challenge myself to try new things and work with new people. I have grown up a lot in this past year and I wanted the music to reflect those experiences. It is easy to “play it safe” as an artist, but I think in order for your fans to grow with you, you can’t be afraid to evolve and be better. 2. I wanted to collaborate with my amazingly talented friends and make a free project that sounds and feels like a debut album."

"With features from Chiddy Bang, Chance The Rapper, Shwayze, G-Eazy, Skizzy Mars & OCD along with production from !llmind, Jared Evan, RJF and Sap, I think Crew Cuts is my most diverse sounding and musical release to date."

Take a listen, should be some solid background music for whatever your endeavors are today. Download Hoodie Allen's "Crew Cuts" Mixtape right here. If that consists of making a "dope as fuck" playlist for the rager this weekend, all the better:
