At BroBible's big SXSW party in March, rapper Chiddy Bang — Windows phone in hand — performed a live freestyle mid-performance using nothing but the words Tweeted at him by audience members and those watching the livestream broadcast around the world. Now Chiddy has himself a new freestyle challenge, one that's a little bit more time-intensive. The Philly rapper will attempt today to break the Guiness World Record for the longest freestyle rap ever. The current record is nine hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds, held by M-Eighty of Indianapolis. As Chiddy says, the only thing he's ever done for longer than nine hours is "sleep." In conjunction with the MTV Online Music Awards and Red Bull, Chiddy will begin his marathon freestyle at 2:30 p.m. ET. We'll monitor his progress all afternoon, but you can watch it live over at omusicawards.com. After the jump, check out a preview of the big event.
Good luck Chiddy!
