Life has its fair share of horrendous, soul-crushing moments. Among these include (SPOILER ALERT) finding out that Santa Claus isn't real, or realizing at age 11 that you won't actually grow up to be a professional basketball player.  

This is not one of those moments.

We've been trying to put the Carly Rae Jepson viral monster to bed for quite awhile now. And despite previous attempts, I think this one may finally do it. 

An amalgamation of half-humans and half-robots known as Associated Press recently interviewed the pop sensation, and asked her the type of things people don't really care about, but will likely read anyway. Among these brutally tough questions included, "have you ever given a guy your number?" To which she said the following:

I've done brave things for love before or for the possibility of the idea of love, but I've never quite done that and I'm pretty sure now that I never can because that would be really, really awkward.

In other words, everyone's entire life is a lie. Also, by this logic, Jepsen has zero males contacts in her phone. 

She was also asked if, like the rest of the world, she was sick of 'Call Me Maybe' yet. Based on her response, it doesn't appear that she'll be making a video giant humblebrag telling people not to listen to her best song anytime soon. 

I'm waiting for that to happen, but at this point it's still such a crazy adventure that I'm on because of this song that I do feel like there's a new element to it every day

Amazingly, the world continues to turn.
