Vans

Pair of Vans Made From Cork
The latest sneakers from Vans are clad in cork and are surprisingly pretty sharp. They’re the latest in the brand’s Off The Wall series and use the same silhouette as the rest of the shoes in the line but are made with a natural cork upper.

Hemp Eye Wear

Sunglasses Made From Hemp
Hemp has been the “next big thing” in manufacturing since puka shell necklaces were still this season’s must have accessory. Turns out the billion dollar crop actually has many more applications than we anticipated … including its use as part of a hemp-flax fiber composite that actually makes a decent looking pair of sunglasses.

If you’re looking to make a run at taking over shortstop duties for the Yankees next year, you’re going to need to start breaking-in a glove now. Even if pinstripes aren’t in your future, the new Nike Vapor 360 should be.

Cheap bikes are usually poorly made, and expensive bikes are nice but require upkeep and a sizable portion of your paycheck. Priority Bicycles set out to create something that solved both of these issues—a bike that is affordable and maintenance-free.

Chrome Ind.

Chrome Sneakers
Chrome’s goal was simple: To create the best city sneaker in the world. To do so they needed to do some work. First, they acquired 70-year-old machines from Slovakia that could fuse the rubber soles to the canvas uppers. The Forged Rubber Sneakers use rubber harvested from nearby rubber farms that gets heated to 300 degrees Fahrenheit to create a bond between sole and upper that is durable and able to survive the rigors of the city.

Weiss Watch Co.

Weiss Watch Co. has a New Field Watch
Weiss is back with two new Standard Issue Field Watches, and they’re even better than the ones we saw from them last time. That’s all great, but it’s just as important that Weiss is the only watchmaker in the US designing, engineering and manufacturing their own cases and dials, along with hand-finishing each movement.
