Servers get stiffed on tips for all sorts of reasons, but this has to be the dumbest. “Your tip is Justice for Trevon Martin!!! We didn’t get Justice so you gets no tip!!” A kid died, and no matter which side of the argument you’re on, using that as an excuse to pay less for lunch is reprehensible.
Just a few things to note:
• “Trevon Martin” isn’t a person (of note)
• Random capitalization
• Who is “We?”
• If justice has now officially been given, is the outrage over?
• Gets
