Pepsi gives their bottle an odd makeover

Pepsi is redesigning their bottle in an effort to create “a more stimulating, tactile interaction with the bottle.” Who knows if that will work or not, but it certainly looks stupid.

I don’t need an ergonomic grip in order to hold a bottle nor does the shape in any way effect my enjoyment. I’ve never once considered the interaction I was having with soda beyond how quickly the liquid level was falling. Maybe that’s my mistake. I could be missing out on a mind-blowing soda experience. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

The new Pepsi 16oz and 20oz bottles hit shelves next month. Tell your friends, and prepare to switch sides in the Cola Wars. You don’t want to be the one left holding the Coke when this new icon hits the streets.
