McDonald’s tries out trendy chalkboard menu

McDonald’s has fought hard to get people to believe that their food is fresh. It hasn’t really worked, so now they’re drawing pretty pictures on chalkboards to get people’s attention instead. If the McDonald’s chalkboard is hand-drawn twice a day, that means the food has to be good, right? It’s probably just like the certified fresh farm-to-table salads and sandwiches* made at your local Starbucks.

While I don’t think this McDonald’s chalk billboard will make any difference for the global public opinion the chain, I’m sure it’s bumping up sales for this particular outlet in Warsaw. It’s a clever idea and a fun campaign, plus McDonald’s is delicious. Just seeing the word McMuffin on a billboard makes me want one. If Ronald brings the McCroissant to the US, it’s game over for my last remaining semblance of health.
