I don’t know much about Golden Corral outside of their incessant commercials, and this whistle-blower video confirms that I’m wise to continue living in ignorance. I don’t know how much of the video to believe, but if even 1% of it is true, it’s disgusting. I know plenty of restaurants are disgusting, and no one wants to know what goes on behind the scenes, but this is next level criminal filth.
As any true humanitarian would do when exposing a potentially unsafe practice, there was an eBay auction posted for the pictures and name of the restaurant before the videos went live. For a meager $5,000 you could save yourself from certain food poisoning and potential death.

UPDATE: Official statement
“A video was recently posted showing an incident of improper food handling at our Port Orange, Florida location. None of these items were served to a single customer. All were destroyed within the hour at the direction of management. Brandon Huber, the employee who made the video, participated in the disposal of the food.
The following day, the father of the employee, posted an offer to sell the video for $5,000, which was not accepted.
The manager involved in the improper storage was terminated for failing to follow approved food handling procedures.”
