Dunkin Donuts new Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich

Dunkin’ Donuts’ Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich is hitting stores just in time for the fake holiday, National Donut Day, this Friday, June 7th. The new creation looks just as glorious as it sounds.

The Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich consists of bacon and a friend egg served on a glazed donut that’s been sliced in half. It sounds like something that would be made in a college kid’s kitchen after he wake and bakes then discovers a day-old donut on the counter. Nothing kills a hangover like smoking pot (allegedly) and creating obscure breakfast concoctions.

Not surprisingly, Dunkin’ Donuts has a way of making it sound a little more impressive.

The glazed donut is light and fluffy and gives you just the right amount of sweetness. Combined with the lightly salted, smoked bacon, the texture and flavors marry together in a wonderful way. It’s a delicious bite of the perfect harmonization of sweet and savory flavors.

Either way it sounds delicious. It was only test marketed a couple months ago, so the the reaction must have been overwhelmingly positive to get it in stores already. Using products you already have certainly helps speed things along too.

Don’t forget to claim your free donut when you go to get the gut-busting Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich this Friday. I’d recommend a bow-tie donut. Do they still make those?
