Burger King’s Subservient Chicken becomes a cannibal

After 48 long hours of wondering, we finally see what the Burger King’s Subservient Chicken has been doing for the past ten years. More importantly, we see what he’s doing now. Hint: eating chickens.

“Drink yourself fool!”

The Subservient Chicken, now named Big King because he’s jacked (odd choice given the logical steroids connection), is back to promote the new Chicken Big King at the BK Lounge. Yes, that’s a Dane Cook reference, and I’m not ashamed of it. Given that the reason the chicken was popular in the first place was that you could tell it what to do, I’m not sure exactly how he’s going to be used this time around. Maybe he replaces the creepy King as the general mascot?

I’m still holding out hope that he starts wandering the streets intimidating people into doing whatever he tells them to do. Then, two months from now, Jimmy Kimmel reveals it was him the whole time.

At the end of the day, the new spot is a sweet tale of redemption. Big King went from gutter to butter in just a matter of minutes. Cue DVDA’s “Montage.”
