Smoking used to be cool, but in 1971 cigarettes ads were banned from TV. Before that, everyone was in on the marketing action, even The Flintstones.
I’ve been watching a lot of old movies lately, and the one thing that’s constant is that people are always puffing away. I’ve never been a smoker, nor do I have any inclination to become one, but they do look cool on film. Unfortunately I’d look more like Barney Rubble than Marlin Brando.
