How to make Bacon Wrapped Bacon Stuffed Sausage

Bacon-Wrapped Bacon-Stuffed Sausage sounds like an error in editing, but that’s exactly what I meant to type. Bacon goes with everything, so I stuffed pork sausage with bacon then wrapped it in bacon. Somewhere Xzibit is nodding in approval.

This idea came to me when I was compiling the list of 25 foods wrapped in bacon for National Bacon Day. I really wanted to include bacon wrapped bacon, but it didn’t seem like it had been done much. Obviously I couldn’t let that stand so I did it myself. The result was a solid log of salty heaven.

Normally I included at least a few random things in a recipe, but this one is intended to be nothing but porky glory. The Keto community loved the Bacon Wrapped Beer Brats, and this one seems right up their alley as well. I’m all for catering to specific diets once in awhile, especially when they encourage the extensive use of bacon.

I bought the Ham Dogger last year because I thought it would be a funny gift. It turns out no one was worthy of it, so I decided to put it to use myself. Things didn’t run all that smoothly, but all things considered I think we can agree it did its job.

The only downside to this super pork stick is that it’s very salty. That’s just the reality of wrapping things in bacon though. You can find low sodium sausage and bacon if you’re averse to such things, or you could man up.

  • 1/4 pound Spicy Pork Sausage
  • 7 stripes Bacon
