Spring Break kicks off this weekend, and it’s the one time year when slightly-clad college kids trade in their Beast Light for Mexico’s finest. We ranked 10 of the most popular Mexican beers to help you get the most out of your week of hedonism.

Indio

Indio

It’s no surprise that the cheapest beer is at the bottom of the list. Even broke people still need to get drunk though, so if you’re saving all your money for dancing with the devil, this one’s for you.

Tecate

In a world of bottles, Tecate is great because it comes a can. This makes it ideal for filling your trash bag of ice from the hotel ice machine with as much beer as possible.

Corona Extra

Beer gets skunked by light, so why would a Mexican beach brand be in a clear bottle? Because that’s what people want. As the story goes, authenticity in question, Corona market-tested fresh beer but people preferred the slightly skunked version.

Modelo Especial

Most of the appeal behind Modelo Expecial is their fancy packaging. It must be good if it has foil, right? There’s actually nothing special about it, but the sorostitutes will think you’ve got pesos just because you’re drinking it.

Pacifico

Pacifico

Pacifico has a natural bitterness which means you don’t have to worry about carrying around limes in order to enjoy it. Just pop the top, drink, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat…

Sol

Sol

I’m a sucker for Sol. There’s nothing innately special about it, but I drank it almost exclusively my first two spring breaks so it hold special place in my heart. It’s also cheap, which carries a lot of weight in a spring breaker’s book.

Victoria

Victoria

Victoria is one of the most popular beers among locals and has been around for almost 150 years. It’s medium bodied and low in alcohol, so possibly not the ideal beer for Spring Break. It’s perfect for dicks who think they’re too good for shit beer though.

Dos Equis

The Most Interesting Man in the World certainly disapproves of almost everything you’re doing on Spring Break, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still drink his milkshake. If you’re lucky you might sleep with half as many women this week as he did before breakfast today.

Negro Modelo

This is definitely not meant for mass consumption on the beach, but Spring Break doesn’t mean you can’t have a few great beers. You have to eat sometime, right? This is my go-to beer for all Mexican food.

Bohemia

Bohemia

It’s almost unfair to include Bohemia in the list because it’s nothing like the majority of the others. It’s a premium European-style beer with a ton of flavor and plenty of alcohol. It’s also doesn’t cost 20 pesos per six pack. It’s just my way of saying that I’m aware that there are truly remarkable Mexican beers that spring breakers wouldn’t think to drink.
