Tequila and Samurai swords don’t go well together from a safety standpoint, but they combine perfectly to seal an unfinished bottle. It seems like an odd combination, but it reflects David Yurman’s love for unique and rare objects. 18th century Japanese Samurai swords certainly fit that bill. I hope someday I’m respected enough to meld two things that have no business together and make it work so perfectly.
The stoppers will be available at retailers nationwide, but the real party is apparently at PH-D Rooftop Lounge at Dreamtown in NYC. If you buy a bottle of Patrón Añejo it comes with the fancy sword stopper. If that’s not a good excuse to get bottle service I don’t know what is. It’s certainly better than another bottle of Grey Goose. If you don’t live in New York you can also find them on eBay already.
