Look out yeast infections, Bud Light is making a cranberry beer. “Cran-Brrr-Rita” is a new seasonal coming to Anheuser Busch’s line of flavored malt beverages.
Starting this November you’ll be able to drink pre-made cranberry margaritas with a splash of Bud Light Lime. It’s just what that doctor ordered for your Thanksgiving feast. They will be available in 12-packs of 8-oz cans. If you really need a to get loose, you can also grab a 25-oz can. So who is going to buy this? Apparently everyone.
Cran-Brrr-Rita joins one of the biggest success stories in the beer industry: The Ritas. Straw-Ber-Rita, which debuted in March, is the largest share gainer in the beer industry this year, and Straw-Ber-Rita and Lime-A-Rita represent the No. 1 and No. 2 brands in the FMB category. Combined the Ritas are larger than the category’s next eight brands.
It looks like the marketing campaign showing a guy pointlessly blending two liquids without ice is paying off. Way to go, America!
