Companies spend millions of dollars and thousands of man hours to ensure that their Super Bowl commercial maximizes it's potential and reaches as many potential consumers as possible. However Old Milwaukee beer isn't one of those companies.
In proving that less is actually more, Old Milwaukee utilized their pitchman, Will Ferrell in the most obscure and strange way possible. Instead of purchasing a $3.5 million national Super Bowl advertisement, Old Milwaukee decided to scale down and make a commercial specifically for the good people of Nebraska. Will Ferrell had previously starred in Old Milwaukee ads for the Davenport and Terre Haute markets, but during the Super Bowl he took his unusual marketing campaign to North Platte, Nebraska where it was the only place this odd ad aired. North Platte is Patriots running back Danny Woodhead's hometown and has a population of 24,733.
