Today in People Who Are Better Than Any of Us:
18-year-old Jhaqueil Reagan, who dropped out of high school after his mom died so he could take care of his younger brother and sister, had a job interview 10 miles away from his home last Friday. He doesn't have a car or he didn't have money for bus fare. So he gave himself a few hours to make the snowy walk.
Three miles into the trek, Reagan was spotted by Papa Roux Cajun Restaurant owner Art Bouvier, who asked the kid where he was walking. Reagan answered, Bouvier was stunned, and you can see where this is going—Bouvier offered Reagan a job at his restaurant. Reagan accepted.
It was a nice gesture, and it was definitely a wise business decision. Something tells me Reagan isn't going to complain when he's on bathroom duty.
